Statistics show 67% of marriages suffer an affair. Many recover but it has to be mutual on both sides. Cheating before marriage is not a good sign, but how bad it is depends on your relationship length and circumstances.

Even when we were dating, neither
@MrsBrometheus nor I would have tolerated that behavior from each other. Going to parties alone and drinking apart like that is not conducive to a healthy marriage and signals an individual mindset, not a unified partnership mindset.1 reply 4 retweets 46 likes -

When she and I had time apart we spent it in quiet nights with trusted friends whom we both knew. We didn’t attend parties separately or drink while apart from each other. We’re coming up on our ten year anniversary soon and renewing our marriage vows.

Affairs do happen and more often are the result of poor communication based on attachment issues which press a person to keep silent about their needs and concerns until they explode. But partying alone and drinking are just inviting disaster even in good couples.
