Sometimes I wonder about maybe seeking therapy. But problem is, I have no trust for any therapist in this country :S

Probable. Also it doesnt help I have heard some pretty shitty stories here and there. And even though there are also lots of good stories, ... There is the negative bias or whatever.

I have a hard time _thinking_ about opening up about some stuff to my friends. The heck would I talk about it with a stranger who is asking for money to do it??? (Also I have some sub par experience with church counselors. Not terrible, but not overall positive)

Plus, one assumes paying a professional means you can expect objectivity, constructive honesty, a clearly defined plan for improvement, knowledge of how to implement effective change, confidentiality so you won’t face personal repercussions for sharing, and eventual results.

Yeah. Problem is, for me those expectations are unrealistic. I cant even get a fricking "goodbye" from the cashier at the grocery store where I do my shoppig all the time.

The problem isnt my assertiveness. Also this doesnt happen all the time. But at one poi t she didnt even grunt hello. I though maybe I didnt say hello loud enough. So after payi g I said very audiably "GOOD BYE" ...silence... My point is, people are jerks even if you pay them.

And also cashier is a low paying job that doesn’t tend to attract or cultivate a high level of professionalism.

Fair point. Sad fact, health professionals in Hungary tend to be underpaid, grumpy and rude. With rare and valued exceptions. I could ofc try a private practicioner, not sure how expensive that might be tho...
