Slow cooking can be great but I hate it for beef. Makes shoe leather. Excellent for pork in thick sauces, though.

i tried it for beef and chicken breast. terrible. as you said you get shoe leather shit. i tried the same chicken breast in the instant pot on the saute function and it was by far better. the long hours dont help at all whether the temp is low or high.

If you want slow cookers, the original Power Pressure Cooker XL is the only one worth a penny that I’ve ever used. That thing is a miracle machine.

ah yep. mind you i havent tried the pressure function yet. its allow been slow cooking. i wanted to do that but thanks to my sister i ended up doing the slow cooking thing.

I’ve never had success with slow cookers outside of soup or stew. Tons of water so it can’t really fail.
