cool. i am giving it a shot tonight. i tried some steak in the slow cooker on high and low and they were disasters. cooked but dry as hell even in their own juices. i will try the pressure cooker and then pan frying. i bought chuck steak which i will marinate in pineapple and soy

Soaking throughly in OJ and then frying on high heat did a great job.

awesome. how long did you soak for and how much OJ did you use

Submerge all the steak fully in OJ, 1 hour. Plus rubbing fully before with Lowry’s seasoned salt.

I don’t know what’s in the seasoned stuff. I’d guess so.

Slow cooking can be great but I hate it for beef. Makes shoe leather. Excellent for pork in thick sauces, though.

i tried it for beef and chicken breast. terrible. as you said you get shoe leather shit. i tried the same chicken breast in the instant pot on the saute function and it was by far better. the long hours dont help at all whether the temp is low or high.

If you want slow cookers, the original Power Pressure Cooker XL is the only one worth a penny that I’ve ever used. That thing is a miracle machine.
