Fathers of every circumstance can make due and find a way to hold the line. Even in prison, fathers can send letters faithfully with lessons and love. Persistence and dedication are required, not some magical circumstance where everything is easy. @javafour

Hey as someone whose dad said "I want nothing to do with your mom" and left when the youngest was still a baby, and he had no excuse not to try to still be a dad and had no contact with any of the kids for many years, I don't give a rats butt what the excuse is...write a letter

I don't care why you and the mom aren't together, if you don't want your kids to suffer do something. Turned out my dad was 20 minutes away and I never knew it. It still affects me and my marriage and my kids. Parents your actions echo across the eternities
