Now, all of that said, I openly call for the flaying and impaling of abusive clergy. But this idea that the Catholic church voluntarily spent money to open orphanages for bereft and abandoned children purely to experience the pleasure of strangling babies is absurd.

Before we declare that all the nuns are serial killers: -Infant mortality was brutally high prior to 1900 and still even 80 years ago. -Nuns do not lactate and adequate nutritional replacement for human milk would be hard to come by. -Plagues would decimate packed orphanages.

I have no doubt some have been guilty of unspeakable crimes an should be investigated and tried openly with brutal punishment to follow if guilty. But the Church as a whole has dedicated itself to providing for these abandoned children whom society would have left in the gutter.

I’ve seen otherwise sane people today sensationalizing these orphanage stories into high crimes against humanity that the Church as a whole is perpetrating against children, that all Catholics are to answer for these crimes and should be forced to account for themselves.

I joined the Catholic Church 4 months ago through baptism and when I did so, I made the choice with full knowledge that otherwise kind Christian brothers and sisters would hate me for what they think I support. But the actions of an evil few cannot turn us from God or each other.

Condemn, flay, and impale those clergy found guilty of crimes against children. Renew the Inquisition and direct it into every crevice of the Church. Hold accountable every member from layperson to Pope. These are the starting demands of every Catholic I have spoken with.

I take some liberty with specifying the preferred methods of execution, of course...

But, evil cannot be allowed to divide us. Denomination matters nothing at all next to our unity in Christ. As you are my brothers and sisters, so any person who harms a child is decided not my brother or my sister. Let us hold totally open transparent investigation processes.

Let that serve to put to rest any fear that Catholics support covering for one another in some monolithic manner. No Catholic I have been friends with would cover for another soul in the harming of children, and even the idea of it enrages them to the point of murder.
