Fathers, take your daughters on practice dates so they know what to expect & how they should be treated, otherwise they’ll be 16 & this world will try to brainwash them into believing that a normal first date is pizza and unprotected sex. Reality is unpleasant. Take action now.

Should mothers be practice-dating their sons, too, so boys will understand that a normal first date isn't pizza and unprotected sex? Let's try educating young men instead of putting the entire burden of being responsible for setting and enforcing boundaries on women.

That assumes 3 things: 1) That her first date will be with a man 2) That only men push bad dating boundaries and 3) That you can teach every partner in the world to behave respectfully and legally. If 99.9% of partners are good and 0.1% predatory, young women need to stay safe.

So again, why don't sons need dating instructions? Your concern that young women need to stay safe from predators ignores 1) most predators are young men and 2) young men could and should be taught not to act in predatory ways.

Your projected sexism is standing in the way of legitimately helping young women who are at risk of abuse and sexual harm. If your complaint is that I didn’t create a comprehensive list of solutions for every variable while focused on protecting women, we have nothing to discuss.

Suggesting that would-be daters of daughters need no education concerning how to behave is sexist. You are perpetuating the notion that women should be responsible to prevent themselves from being attacked without addressing the fact that MEN NEED TO STOP ATTACKING WOMEN.

He has a daughter. He’s making sure she is prepared. He doesn’t have control over guys out there. Don’t be an idiot. It’s common sense.
