Now of course, I circumvented this by going into my history/email to retrieve a link, but the fact I need workarounds to view a video that came out recently on mobile devices (to which YT says more people are on mobile than PC) is ridiculous. Honestly.

By the time
@TeamYouTube responds to me with “wanting screenshots” the 10 minutes are up and the video is up anyway, however there are two truly disastrous problems to come with what some may think is a “harmless” glitch. And when those problems combine, it’s pretty bad.Show this thread -
Problem 1: The algorithm shows that the first hour of a video’s release is important. First Hour > 24 Hours > 48 Hours > 1 Week Now of course I can send a link to Twitter or Discord, but that combined audience is not as big as my YT subscribers. So now I have a 50 minute window?

Problem 2: While of course this could all be avoided by clicking the bell, some people may not want notifications from me. The algorithm shows that a constant time every time you post is important. How could I capitalize on a time when those who don’t click the bell won’t see?

Combine those two problems and you get a disaster: The lack of access to my audience + a shorter window for my video to do well = more hurdles to jump through to make YT work. Yes, it is just 10 minutes now, but that was just one video. This has been happening for three so far.pic.twitter.com/DI2HVy9bnN
