Stats matter, but they don’t matter to anyone directly affected by this while thing. So keep them handy but at least present them less cold. It’s presented like “hey here are the stats it’s not as bad as you think.” And to the community affected that’s a big fuck you to them.

I think it's a fair point you bring up, but here's my question. When is it the right time to bring up those stats? A week? A month? Does the stats even matter? Hell, we have cited stats before and some choose not to listen.
