      Why isn't mental health and what drives people to shoot up a schooll the focus and not guns? If there where no guns in the USA they would be doing it via some other means like home made bombs. #GunControlNow

      It's not unreasonable, the problem is that a lot of schools can't afford to hire more security bc of their already low budgets. I agree with Ben that mental illness is the root of these attacks, and without guns these shooters would just use another weapon.

      Here school resource officers are police. The school isn't paying for it.

      Oh I see. Well If the police can handle it then sure, but trying focus more on mental health still seems like the best long term solution.
