Personally I feel that boomsday, un'goro and frozen throne have been solid sets. Best new mechanics. But yes unfortunately most new cards won't see play because of meta. It's hard to be creative and still want to win. Ice block going to hall of fame is the best decision ever.

It finally MADE people experiment with other cards in the mage class. I still find a random miracle rogue or two here and there.
