OK time for a very late ECCC review. Time for a thread.

I have been tabling at ECCC for the past six(?) years. This show has grown A LOT in the past four. It is a local show for me and consistently my highest grossing con. This however was not my best year, it was my second best by a very fine margin.

Something new that was added this year was the homegrown section. It was in the exhibitors hall and ONLY had local artists. It was full of artists from washington and oregon. IDK if any one from BC canada or Northern Cali was there.

I LOVE the homegrown section. I think it is a huge step in the right direction and I hope to see it again in the future.

My only complaint was that the booths in home grown were HG. Artist Alley two floors above used a letter system and a lot of people went there to look for both me and @thisishannako (we were splitting a table).

IDK what the solution for this is. There was a large homegrown banner in the exhibitors hall directing people to the home grown section. Maybe awareness will be better next year since it was new this year?

This was also the first year with a full day on Thursday. Usually it's a half day. It was 10-7 this year. It was kind of nice because people stopped by and I was able to have longer conversations since we were not as slammed. I wouldn't call it slow but it was a long day.

I do wish that it was 12-7 instead of 10-7 though. I was DYING by Sunday and I suspect that having three 9 hour days really did me in. I STAND for most of cons. So I'm standing on concrete for most of a 9 hour day three days in a row.
