.@LoganBrightside Let’s get back to the initial conversation, please. Do you understand why trickle down economics does not serve a consumer based economy well?

I do understand that it is flawed in its current state, but we do not have the necessary means to change it, especially in America's current state

What if I told y’all there was actually an alternative to supply-side economics that somebody has already put a lot of thought into, got people to try it, and there was some pretty good evidence that it might actually work?

I'd tell you that Id like to hear it but I'm a fan of our system, it has its faults but it's easier to patch a hole than it is to replace a house

Okay, I can get that. The idea of supply-side economics has actually been around for a very long time, if you can believe it. It was around almost a hundred years ago, when a guy threw out a counter idea which rocked that entire field of thought—a dude named Keynes.

Now, I’m just a comic, economic policy makes me sleepy, but I’ve read some stuff from dudes who think Keynes had some good ideas. If you’re legit looking for a possible alternative to supply side, maybe it wouldn’t hurt to give him an honest read?

If you don’t have time for a book (God, who does anymore?), maybe there’s a documentary on Netflix you’d be interested in instead. It’s called “Inequality For All (2013)” and it lays out some of the basics of this guy’s ideas, along with some thoughts on income inequality.
