That's a good starting point. I'm rewatching it. It's pretty good, especially if you remember what came before it: stuff like Speed Racer.
The part that scares folks about UC Gundam is what happens after: all the sequels tying up the story. Zeta Gundam, ZZ, CCA, Unicorn...
