So nothing is knowable because influences exist everywhere?

sadly it seems so. One if the major problems in today's world.

I don't know if I believe that. There are objective facts out there, things that can be backed up with proof.

Sure, media will try to sustain itself, but facts and truth do still exist independently of that need, and truth shines through.

That's the role that journalism is SUPPOSED to uphold in our society. We trust these people to find the proof, verify the fact.

Then the answer is to seek truth in the smaller, independent sources? Local papers, the like?

maybe. I wish knew the answer man. I try to look at both sides to the issue and draw my own conclusion.
