You know what is the DUMBEST Southern trend? Mums. Mothers will spend THOUSANDS of dollars to have mums made for homecoming and it truly is just a complete show of who has more money and popularity. I never had a mum in HS. It also made me feel self conscious. It's dumb.

Homecoming is a football game and not really a dance. Each school has a special date where their team is heralded for the night and they crown a king and queen for the senior class. They honor the graduating seniors and past grads come back to see each other.
Which, for the record, fuck that completely. I was a reject in high school and there is no force on Earth that will send me back there since my escape.

Right? I can’t say I had a HORRIBLE experience but I would never go back. I wasn’t popular and when they found out I was diagnosed with PTSD, shit hit the fan hard. Kids are mean and there’s a reason I don’t want any.
