but it's your own perception of it, that's the problem. Instead of "I feel so attacked for who I am." maybe try thinking of it as "I am not being judged personally guilty, people who look like me have just done bad things. As one of those people, I refuse to be like them." /fin
I’m down with this. FDR was a white cishet male. But so too was Nathan Bedford Forrest. Every example has their problems, everyone today is a work in progress, but we can learn from the great white cishet males of history an example of the ideals we want to aspire to.

Fairness is not fair unless it’s for everyone. Inclusion is not inclusion unless it’s for everyone. My role in this is to push for the ideals, so that they can finally apply to everyone. Not because I did something wrong, but because the goal is what’s right.

Exactly! and there's a lot of people running around who feel hurt and tired of carrying the brunt of inequality. Much like if you go without food and rest, you get hangry. You get short with people and lose patience.. generalize and use words that can hurt.
