You know what I thought when I saw Solo and we met L3, the “social justice droid”? I thought “Wow! What an interesting concept and what a fun character. Okay. I’m IN!” I didn’t think of it as a reflection of our times as much as “why should all droid characters be the same?”
...what? Boy, I didn’t think of her that way at all. All I was thinking was, “And this is why you properly maintain your equipment and wipe its memory every so often.”
