Not this strong...but I note I say “potential.” Having Baradar play a role in negotiations is very significant. If the Paks didn’t brain wash in during his 9 yrs in their custody. He was arrested by ISI in 2009 because he was ready to negotiate with his fellow Popolzai, Karzai.

I think that’s a bit of any overstatement. If the US didn’t care about Afghan civilians and ANDSF I don’t think we would have spent 100s of billions $ on Afghan security and lost many US and NATO lives during the last 18 years.
