Is that why they talked about how to avoid getting caught by the FEC? Why were they talking about the potential fines and punishment for breaking the laws?

It’s legal for campaigns to donate to charities.
-
They were not donating to charities.
-
Then who were they donating to? Did they send $300 in gift cards to the “caravan” on the road? If so, how was it divided up among the 3000 people? And where/how are they gonna spend US gift cards along the highway in Mexico?
-
Ah, well then, how did they get the baby wipes to the caravan? And how did they divide them up among 3000 people? One wipe per person? Who handed them out? If you use common sense, you will see the problems with PV’s story.
-
How did the caravan get their lawsuit filed from the side of a Mexican highway? Some of the so called refugees are already here.
-
Of course there are refugees here already. They weren’t part of the caravan. People cross the border every day and ask for asylum. That is not new, and it’s nothing to be afraid of. In this case, the campaign was trying to help asylum seekers that the US govt RELEASED.
-
If they were in need of asylum they would have accepted Mexico's generous offer. They spit on it.

When did
@Project_Veritas become a “controversial group”??? -
When they started doing real investigative journalism against Democrats. Apparently, for journalists, that controversial.
-
Could be when he tried to plant a fake Roy Moore accuser with the Washington Post to try and discredit journalists... but whatever.
-
even earlier! The crap he pulled at Mary Landrieu’s office, the bizarre sex toys on the boat stunt, etc.
-
True. The guy has made a career of set ups.
-
His tactics are questionable, but it's not like he's putting words into people's mouths. After all, he has video evidence for Christ's sake.
-
He’s not putting words in anyone’s mouth, but he’s splicing videos to recreate the conversation, there are like 20+ scene cuts in this video!

And it was $300 dollars lmaoo

And legal! All these Christians afraid of helping the poor. They are no more Christian by going to church, than I am a car when I stand in my garage.https://www.fec.gov/help-candidates-and-committees/making-disbursements/personal-use/ …
-
Sure. It’s legal if you report is as a charitable donation. But it’s obvious from the video they had no intent of doing that. Hence why they talked about claiming it was part of a campaign food purchase. The video *literally* says they are going to hide this expenditure.
-
You saw a clip that was cut into pieces, not the whole conversation.
