the real equivalent of female "circumcision" - the removal of the clitoris with no anesthesia in a non sterile environment with a kitchen knife or piece of glass, would be to castrate a male with a dull knife while holding them down . . . but they don't do that to men

The equivalent of rastrating a man would be to cut a woman open and remove the ovaries. They strap infants down, or hold them down if a bris. In Africa tribal circumcision uses the same tools as they do on girls. In Singapore fgm is done in a clinic with sterile tools.

Most circumcision of boys has no anaesthetic, few doctors use any, those that do dont use enough often, they are never put under. The bris is never done with anaesthetic, pain is tge mitzvah there according to orthodox beliefs.

You are comparing the worst cases of fgm, african tribal rituals, with the "best" cases of mgm, us hospitals and acting like thats all of them. Its disingenuous

Well that's because FGM is commonly done in countries with very little sanitation standards, like Africa and parts of the Middle East. It's nothing to do with sexism.
