How do you read "hostility" to public schools in a statement advocating for more CHOICES? Public school is one of those choices. It is not one-size-fits all, as this pandemic has shown us.

"Choice" is a loaded word isn't it? Like abortion is pro-"choice.". How can that be bad right? Parents DO have choices. They can send their child to 1) a public school 2) a private school or 3) homeschool That is their "Choice" ... one of them is publicly funded

Public schools are a public resource and where the public pays, the public has a say .... The whole thing about a tea party and no taxation without representation ... we remember that don't we?

Because framing it as “choice” obscures that the effect of vouchers is (a) segregation & (b) public resources used for private gain. Both contribute to inequality.
