OR, they could just lower property taxes and cut spending. They’re too spineless for that and are deathly afraid that people might smear them if they cut any spending.

Tax church property. Every time another mega church goes up it decreases the tax base while consuming tax paid services. Smaller tax base, more taxes per tax payer.
