#CUTIES is a beautiful film. It gutted me at @sundancefest. It introduces a fresh voice at the helm. She’s a French Senegalese Black woman mining her experiences. The film comments on the hyper-sexualization of preadolescent girls. Disappointed to see the current discourse.

Never heard of the film before all this outrage, Netflix dropped the ball promoting it but after watching the trailer it looks very heartfelt and like an important film right now, thanks for trying to show people that

I think the director's intentions were good and that some of the filmmakers were genuine, but the film's sexualization of young girls and its negative portrayal of Islam as a religion are inexcusable
