I sympathize. I'm mad & sad about it but I sympathize. A long time ago, I stuck in an abusive relationship until it became unbearable. For years, I thought it was just a really stupid thing to do & a horrible thing to live through but last year, it suddenly started making sense.
I can sympathize, too. But, self preservation will come into play the further they take this and any energy I had for sympathy will have to be withdrawn and redirected. If we survive, we can rekindle the sympathy in the therapy sessions ;)
