The label of 'hate speech' has been weaponized to stifle sincere exchange for a while now! A classic trick to make sure people on the ground are suspicious of each other, and billionaires win as a result. And a lot of people are scared to squeak so as not to lose their job. :(

Depends on where you live, I suppose. Seems to be happening more in the US rather than in Europe. And that development is far less prominent here in Africa.
