I really really don't like the idea of treating confused people who are not qualified to lead live human beings anywhere as "visionaries" or letting them bully us into jumping off the cliff, based on dreaming, fraud, and bad science. This is not an attractive future.
And most importantly, some version of this "victory march toward progress" has already happened many times in history. Never ended well, always led to the demise of the gullible. Why not choose differently this time around?
