That was a year ago. A lot learned since then. But it doesn't need asymptomatic transmission to spread. There are plenty of symptomatic idiots ignoring the rules and urging people to be free and throw away their masks in the name of liberty and love.
I keep going back to this. It was a consensus in the medical community. The doctors I talked to in spring concurred.
