Perhaps one has to live through a very specific type of propaganda to be allergic to it. The shamelessness is truly staggering, it shocks me every day. I never expected this type of propaganda in my adopted homeland. Other types yeah but not this phony "public good" one. Abusive.
And just like in my old homeland, the "public good" stories are just that, stories, hiding the unseemly belly of the machine. These stories simply weaponize people's natural desire to be righteous and communal against own interests and against other equally abused regular people.
