To my senses, one of the most criminal things a powerful entity can do is to arbitrarily redefine "good" and "bad" to serve a commercial or theological purpose. And this is exactly what's happening now. YIKES.

Human moral instincts are strong, most people want in their hearts to do good. So in a culture like the American culture, where a lot of "white collar" people have been very comfortable for a long time & totally forgot to be alert, redefining "good" and "bad" is a power weapon.

Or actually, it's a powerful weapon in any culture. This is how many horrible things went down in history. "Good" and "bad" were reoriented so badly that it was no longer possible to tell what's what. And once enough people became disoriented, it became a crime to "upset" them.
