It was lame and horrible there, and it's lame and horrible here. How people don't learn from history is beyond me. As if we, westerners, are somehow exempt from totalitarianism.

Luckily, I'm an artist and I can say that it's super lame and obviously NOT well-intended to equate willingness to stick with the establishment narrative with being "smart" or "media-savvy." My old homeland already pulled this off on three generations of people.... No, thanks.
