Here’s my stake in the ground: The tragedy of the commons is real. Mask mandates are a good thing. We must reverse the damage that has been done/is being done to Earth. The ultra-rich will profit from any system, so one that does these things is better than one that doesn’t.

I don’t necessarily disagree on the effect of digitization. That said, the combination of libertarian-esque dog whistles, anti-expertise bent & unfounded connection-drawing leaves me cold. We are all cynics, but life is not worth living if you see a gun behind every act of grace.

What are the dog whistles? Policy elites don’t understand the lives and challenges many working people face? I think that’s a foghorn. And glad it’s there.
