My senses are telling me that some of the people who tweet about the ugly scene in Brooklyn where officers harassed people trying to celebrate a religious holiday, do it for talking points. I thought the scene was ugly in a universal, existential way.
Relationship with the universe is between the person and the universe. No one should interfere. No exceptions. I mean, NO exceptions. Jews, Muslims, Christians, indigenous, or even someone looking for meaning & dancing or kissing a human being or hugging a tree to feel the love.
It is preposterous, abusive, and blatantly evil to prevent people from celebrating their sacred relationships based on... what exactly? Faulty"tests," which must have been inspired by Theranos b/c are currently as good as a coin toss, per many renowned scientists?
And no, we are not mechanical machines. Life exists for joy and for celebration of relationships--with with one's heart, with nature, and with other people. This mechanical onslaught is getting old. We are not robots. And I don't believe that I am in the minority in feeling that.
