A much better starting point is admitting to the fact that none of us can be sure about well, anything, unless we have direct experience. All we can do is use both our intellect and our senses with honesty and hope for the best.

No other kind of certainty is available since culturally, everything is about arranging talking points in such a way that the person who's talking has the last word in the conversation and makes the most $. That is the gist of ALL top-level decision making. We are on our own.

The sentiment of "let's talk and figure it out, and do it from the heart, very sincerely" is missing from the formal talk, even though it's the only thing that can help. It's considered naive. It's considered not adult enough. And yet, it is the only thing that can save us.
