There are two separate issues here. Issue number one is that the system best described as "oligarchy" is not supposed to be fair OR transparent. Just like feudalism, it's not about reason or justice, it's about "winning the game." Issue number two is tech.
Another problem is that those of us who have something to lose in terms of social standing, are naturally afraid to use simple words that could give away having a heart or knowing very little about #thefuture.
