It is tragically obvious that American militarism (from conquests back in the day to today's yay-war headlines) is driven strictly by the need of a few peeps to do the impossible, i.e. expand the physics-defying economy infinitely, and make money off artificially created demands.

For some time, I thought that trying to defy the laws of physics for a humongous quick return was the prerogative of Big Tech. But no. The entire thing, by design, is built on the idea that complying with the laws of physics can be postponed, at least for the lucky few.
