How many Americans won’t admit just how close the two are?
Sadly, human nature doesn't change with crossing borders. As an immigrant who grew up in in a "post-authoritarian" society, I attest to too many similarities. The most palpable difference is the amount of glitter one receives (or not) before being consumed by the system.
