Therefore, at any point in history, everywhere on Earth, "information" is interpreted as "a narrative that supports MY worldview and MY business interests" and "disinformation" is interpreted as "a narrative I don't agree with or that is not good for MY business."

Most conversations around information and disinformation are moot and self-serving, sadly (not talking about the article that started the thread, but about the trend in general).

Everybody yells, "We should protect the public from the opinion of my enemies!!! The world depends on it!!!" But when it turns around and somebody wants to moderate the aspiring moderator, it's horror, horror. Hypocrisy. Laws of physics always win.

We have language so that we can talk to each other and share opinions. Argue. Agree. Disagree. That is the entire point. If the culture is so broken that this is no longer working, we have much bigger problems to deal with. Cultural bully business as usual won't work.
