I do believe that the fundamental problem of our ENTIRE civilization stems from abusing out intrinsic and rather sacred ability to create worlds from imagination, with language.

We create worlds with language. If enough people agree (voluntarily or under pressure) that up is down and two plus two is eleven, then for a while, even those who see things clearly are forced to deal with collective insanity. And the beauty goes into hiding.
