To that I'd like to add that if we, respectable busy adults, were not so thoroughly and endlessly violated by the ongoing psychological abuse forced upon us by the rat race as the default modus operandi, the insanity of Taylorism would be OBVIOUS to us on an instinctive level.

So if we want to talk about solutions, we need to address our broken hearts first. No, really. I know it sounds unpredictable and non-intellectual but without addressing our tortured, broken hearts, we are NOT going to be salvaged by an effen better system.
