Going deeper, my answer to the grand (and imo misguided) question about corporate greed vs state corruption: The problem is the psychological state in which it's okay to disrespect another person's spirit. As long as this state dominates the culture, changes will be cosmetic.
And it fundamentally doesn't matter what slogan du jour is used to disrespect other people's spiritual and physical freedom. Historically, has been done in the name of national interests, religion, atheism, science, progress, etc. Same crap every time.
