Unfortunately, political presentation is an area where both human decency and language are raped mercilessly, alongside our brains, day in and day out. Sometimes with a charming smile, and sometimes with a hammer, but to the same effect.
I envy those who have not gone through a grinder in the first person, who are well-fed, and therefore have the luxury of believing that our biggest problem is the horrible assholes in the other camp, not the fact that the machine was broken a long time before we were born.
The giant foundational clusterfuck can only be fixed humanly. There is no technology for it. There is no system for it. It can only be fixed from a place of the real. It is the only way.
But how can we expect lasting solutions in the world of the real if we are supposed to talk to each other in coded language that is designed for glitter, outrage, and polished nothingness? It is not possible.
Don't get me wrong, individual assholes are obviously a problem regardless of what camp they belong to and they need to be contained on a case by case basis. That's a given. But the format of every conversation is designed for vanity and distraction, not for solutions. Dangerous.
