Unwrapping linguistic scams is somehow incredibly joyful to me.
Disclaimer though: Scams are are easier to unwrap and more fun to pontificate about when one is not viscerally impacted by them. When one is viscerally impacted and tries to talk, no one in a commercial society wants to listen due to the unpleasant intensity of the signal.
Which is why more often than not, we get to hear analysts and those who have the time and the energy to pontificate about societal imbalances—but not those whose heads are barely above the water due to the imbalances in question. Our culture doesn't like primal screams.
