I decided that I am no longer non-partisan, I am anti-partisan. Loyalty should be to humans and to our shared values of honor and decency, not to mechanical ghosts.

I actually remember the almost physical feeling of pleasure when you say all the "right" things (like a parrot) and get praised by the teacher. And get a good grade. That is conformism. Kids don't know better, but adults? Yikes.
