I actually gloat when every time after buying something, I get ads for that exact thing that I am certainly not going to buy twice. Not very smart AI.
To be fair, they don't know if you bought or not (without invading your privacy) but it's still idiocracy.
Interestingly enough, when I purchase an item and am hit by an incoming targeted ad for said item, I think to myself: "Ha! Not very intelligent..."
