I think pursuit of happiness is fair. Happiness is a thing of nature, a thing of freedom, it's good. What bothers me in today's media culture is that very few people are willing to even try serving facts as opposed to massaging facts to serve them. It's very extreme.
I wasn’t dissing happiness or the pursuit thereof. I only meant that the lofty ideals & belief in self-determination at the 
of American society aren’t sufficient guides for life in an unprecedented time in the history of our country. We need to expand our guidance.
True. Goes back to my favorite line – that algorithms are not sufficient, period. We are human, we need decency, kindness, wisdom – on a sensory level. That is an artist in me talking. The sensory level makes miracles possible, while algorithms create harmless slaves at best.
