IMO there will always be shopping malls of some sort. It's just too attractive a concept to entirely eradicate. By the same token, there are still horse-driven carriage services. They are few, far between, and economically not very relevant.
Oh absolutely! The shopping mall is being pushed of the market by Amazon – but once the competition is out, they will be adding more and more physical stores... with data tracking, of course.
