Imagine if artists were creating what they felt and not what they thought would sell... if journalists weren't worried about keeping their jobs... if nobody feared stepping away from the algorithm, and everyone learnt to use their heart... would life be same as now?

Okay, obviously not. Because right now, 90% of actions and speeches are driven either by fear, or the desire to be famous, or the fundamental need to pay bills. Where is the freedom?

Why? My theory is that it started when we made a civilizational turn toward algorithmic thinking and murdered the trust for the soul in favor of linear rules. A cultural shift. So now, people on top of the food chain break rules anyway – b/c they can – and those at the bottom cry

And because the rules are based on breaking the connection with nature (thru almost everything), it is suddenly widely accepted that happiness, real happiness, is dangerous and suspicious. Because a happy person is hard to cheat. The algorithmic machine hates it.

As soon as one gets out of line of the general peer pressure, there is an incredible amount of new peer pressure. That is NOT awesome. Me, I have experienced incredible freedom in-between systems in Moscow years ago, and anything less than that feels like a surrogate.

Having lived through a time when brave dissidents were elevated, and compliance was appropriately laughed at, I am having a hard time watching spiritual compliance being sold to the people, wrapped in shiny paper. Compliance maims. It turns people into dwarves. I have seen it!!

Then one day it ends, and cowardice gets laughed at, and those who were laughed at before, get elevated. It is a circle of life. But is there a need to repeat history? The only way to overcome this is to resist being turned in a commercial robot. At least it's the only way I know
