And the trick that doesn't get old and that keeps creating havoc, is using language that puts one humiliated group against another. Humiliation is real and we all react to pain – but the language is merely a trick to keep us buried in humiliation and rerouted dissatisfaction.

A by product of capitalism? Or is it just capitalism?

I think capitalism is a byproduct of forgetting our roots. And so is modern socialism, ironically. I was raised in a socialist country, and it's same crap. A different flavor of crap with its own good and bad, but oppressive anyway. We need to go a lot deeper, I think.
