Most people forget that during Elon's take-private saga Volkswagen were one of the main parties interested in taking a stake in a privately owned Tesla at a value of $72 billion dollars! Translates to legacy automakers saying "we need help Q_Q"

Tesla has 1/4 the amount of cobalt that Volkswagen has, or in other words, Tesla contains 75% less cobalt than Volkswagen. Even by our standards it's still poorly worded in the article.

Well, they are partnered with on of the best battery R&D companies available. that is how they can do this. Plus, both Tesla and Pana know their supply of LI is limited, hence why tesla has been buying up foreign production rights for the last couple years.

Inaccurate. Cell chemistry and pack layout/details are designed by Tesla, cells are manufactured by Panasonic in Tesla’s Nevada factory, pack is manufactured by Tesla
